Who We Are

All Canada was founded in 2023 by a small group of journalists and former tour operators who were tired of the way Canadian destinations are covered online. Most "Canada travel" sites are either thinly disguised tourism-board affiliates or thin SEO content recycled from Wikipedia. We wanted to build something different: a site where the writing was real, the research was first-hand, and the site's commercial interests didn't shape its editorial judgment.

Our core editorial team is five people, with another dozen freelance writers across the country. Editorial decisions are made by the editor-in-chief, working with a senior editor who reviews every piece before publication. Fact-checking is done by a separate researcher to keep the writers from marking their own homework.

How We Research

For a province page, we send a writer to spend at least two weeks in the province in the last twelve months and have a second writer review their work. For a city page, we require either residence in the city or at least three separate visits. We use government statistics from Statistics Canada, transit data from the relevant agencies, and provincial tourism data — all cited directly when used.

We update each province page at least every six months. We update each city page at least every nine months. Major changes (a wildfire, a new airport, a transit-system overhaul) trigger an immediate review regardless of schedule. The "last reviewed" date at the bottom of every article is honest.

How We Are Funded

All Canada is supported by display advertising and a small set of affiliate partnerships with Canadian businesses. Advertising is served through Google AdSense and a handful of direct buys; affiliate partnerships are clearly disclosed at the top of any article that contains them.

The advertising and affiliate revenue does not influence editorial. Our writers are not paid to write favourably about advertisers. We do not accept payment in exchange for inclusion, mention, or favourable coverage. If a tourism operator pays us for a sponsored article, that article is labelled "Sponsored" and is not part of our editorial product. We have not, to date, run any sponsored content.

Corrections

If you see an error on the site — a wrong date, a wrong price, a fact we missed, a tone we got wrong — email us. Substantive corrections are noted at the bottom of the article with the date the correction was made. We don't quietly rewrite history.

Editorial Independence

Our writers, editors and researchers operate independently of advertisers. Coverage of a place, a business, or a person is determined entirely by editorial judgment.
